JUJUTSU KAISEN unveiled a new “Strongest vs Strongest” video to celebrate the release of the manga’s 25th volume today. WARNING: MANGA SPOILERS AHEAD!
The trailer showcases Satoru Gojo and Sukuna, featuring manga chapters not yet adapted. The video can be viewed below.
Gege Akutami’s manga recently surpassed 90 million circulating copies and is anticipated to conclude this year. Season 2 of the JUJUTSU KAISEN anime completed its run on December 28, covering the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc in the first part and the Shibuya Incident arc in the second. A sequel, the Culling Game arc, has already been announced for anime adaptation, where the events from the video will eventually unfold.
In addition to the second season, studio MAPPA animated the 24-episode first season and the prequel movie for the franchise. Akutami Gege is the creator of the original manga, licensed by VIZ Media in English. Crunchyroll streams both the anime and movie, providing the following story description:
“Yuji Itadori is a boy with tremendous physical strength, leading an ordinary high school life. One day, to save a classmate attacked by curses, he consumes the finger of Ryomen Sukuna, absorbing the curse into his own soul. Henceforth, he shares a body with Ryomen Sukuna. Guided by the formidable sorcerer Satoru Gojo, Itadori joins Tokyo Jujutsu High School, an organization combating curses… and thus begins the heroic tale of a boy who became a curse to exorcise a curse, a life from which he could never turn back.”
